The internship experience has been a “win-win” situation
for everyone involved. Buffalo State
has provided our corporation with students who possess the necessary skill
levels and initiative to perform at high levels. The students have
benefited by being responsible for important parts of the overall marketing
plan, and they gain first-hand knowledge of the pace expected in today’s
competitive environment. Everyone who has contacted us throughout the
Buffalo State organization has exhibited a high degree of professionalism.

We had an excellent intern from Buffalo State. He was a valuable asset to our team by
assisting us with many last minute projects and completing them ahead of
schedule. He instantly became an
employee of the Tourism Department and acted as such. The helped us stay ahead of schedule,
completed projects that would otherwise not been completed and displayed an
enthusiastic and professional attitude throughout our crazy and intense
moments. The staff thoroughly
enjoyed working with him and said repeatedly that he was the best intern we
have had thus far.

In the Spring semester, Client Logic had three Buffalo State interns.
The most impressive thing about the whole experience was that each student
was committed to the reciprocal relationship. They were just as interested
in giving 100% to Client Logic and their assignments as they were in
receiving skills and experiences from our company.

It was an absolute pleasure having a Buffalo State intern this semester!
His work ethic and intelligence made him an outstanding addition to our
office, and he contributed significantly to the mission of our department.
Your intern was well-prepared for the interview process, and despite a lack
of experience sold himself well and was accepted into our internship
program. He learned quickly and worked hard - he is an outstanding example
of what an intern should be like! As a graduate from BSC, I cannot tell you
how pleased I am with the quality of interns within the Business Department
Internship Program.

I had the extreme pleasure of supervising a Buffalo State College intern
for a special project. There were numerous deadlines to meet and a lot of
coordination required. This was clearly a project that needed to come in on
time. After a few weeks, I was confident this event would be a big success.
I wasn't proven wrong! It is my intention to make my Buffalo State intern a
permanent full-time member of our team.

I very much enjoyed having a student intern work in our Human Resources
Office. The student was able to complete numerous projects that needed to
be done, but were never a priority for our understaffed office. I also
utilized our intern to learn more Excel for my own knowledge and usage. I
feel both the LDP and the student benefited from
the internship experience.

We
have had several interns from Buffalo State over the past few years. I have
found the students able and willing to take on projects and work
independently. They have provided a valuable resource and helped us to see
ourselves more clearly through their questions and observations.

What began as an unpaid internship turned into a paid assistant position
in my department with your Buffalo State student.
Through his own hard work, good work ethic, and basically the type of
person we want to be part of our company, your Buffalo State intern got
himself a full-time position as an account executive with our company.
Internships lead to jobs for students because it gives them on-the-job
experience where they can apply classroom theory.

The
opportunity to have an intern from Buffalo State College at the Greater
Buffalo Convention & Visitors Bureau was a win-win situation for all of
us. Various projects we assigned to our intern were valuable in enhancing
our sales and marketing efforts and servicing our customers. Our intern now
has a greater appreciation of the impact of conventions and visitors on the
local economy.

This was our first intern from SUNY
College at Buffalo, and we were very pleased with the intern and the
program. The intern quickly became a contributing member of our team, and
she assisted us with her computer skills. We would definitely like
additional interns from the Business Department.

I have worked with two interns from Buffalo State. I am
impressed with their energy and enthusiasm! The Chamber has benefited from
the research conducted by both interns. The Buffalo State Internship
Program has been a win-win experience for the Chamber of Commerce and for
the students.
