Professional Philosophy
The United States is facing a critical shortage of literate citizens. Research-informed instructional practices, relying on inquiry and constructivist approaches, empower students. Such powerful methods of instruction require paradigm shifts, with teachers moving away from viewing content as a body of knowledge, to that of a process, a way of knowing. My personal and professional activities are directed toward facilitating these paradigm shifts.
