is seeking a Marketing Intern to assist the marketing department in their
internal firm culture and external advertising and promotional efforts. |

Internship
Duties: |
This marketing internship position will work with the Director of Marketing and handle a mixture of day-to-day marketing tasks as well as work on longer-term projects and collaborate with attorneys and other departments in doing so. In addition to traditional advertising, internal marketing is a key component of this position. Firm culture is important to us, and this role will play an integral part in helping our diversity and wellness initiatives move forward through communications, research, event planning and program coordination. This is a great opportunity for the ideal candidate to gain exposure in the legal industry, marketing world and Buffalo community. This is a 10-week, in-office position in our Downtown Buffalo Headquarters, which has the potential to turn into a full-time position. We are looking for a candidate who will be able to commit to a 15 – 25-hour workweek, between the hours of 8am – 5pm. The exact days and times are negotiable. The Marketing Intern will support the following firm marketing activities: · Coordination of the firm’s intranet system, including maintaining a content calendar, creating original content (Canva graphics and copy) and working with other firm departments to develop content. · Assist in proofreading and formatting of attorney content for the monthly client newsletters. · Maintain client contact and newsletter databases. · Assist with coordination and planning of firmwide and firm committee functions, both in-house and in the community. · Assist attorneys with event registration, sponsorship forms and presentation materials. · Work with Director of Marketing and attorneys to update firm website (CMS) and marketing materials with new content. · Assist with writing news releases and content for the website and social media. · Assist with creation of ads for print and digital. · Assist with conducting market research and competitive analysis. ·
Enter marketing invoices into the firm’s accounting system. ·
Play a key role in maintaining the firm’s brand guidelines with a consistent
look, tone and voice in all content and graphics. · Perform other
additional related duties as assigned by Director of Marketing. |

Computer
Knowledge Required: |
Excellent
computer skills required with an advanced level of experience in Microsoft
Excel, PowerPoint and Word |
|
Specific
Skills Required: |
· Strong writing and communication skills. · Must be detail oriented, accurate, well organized and able to meet deadlines. · Knowledge of business social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook). · Proficient in basic graphic design, including Canva. · Familiarity with email marketing programs. · Professional demeanor. Must be able to clearly communicate and effectively interact with the leadership team and all employees. · Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and draw conclusions is required. ·
