Remembering the Great Depression

Learning & Technology Standards Page

This project was developed as part of a sabbatical project through the State University of New York College in Buffalo for use in the Secondary English Education program. As a result, activities are designed to meet the New York State Standards for Learning (NYSS). The New York Standards are similar to those adopted by many other states and address a range ELA skills encompassing content mastery, critical thinking, literary response, and creative expression. Activities can be adapted according to individual curriculum needs.

The National Educational Technology Standards (NETS) have also been addressed to facilitate a range of technology integration into lessons. The NETS were developed by the International Society of Technology in Education and have been adopted by most professional education organizations, including the National Council of Teachers of English.
